Today we learned about and created definitions for what it meant to "live deliberately". Our group's definition was- "to live with purpose and to take your time in life to learn more about yourself and your surroundings." This made me think about how fast-paced our lives are. We are constantly on a schedule and are stressed out about our lives. This made me feel self aware about how fast-paced my life is. I thought it was the norm to always be stressed. So in this STEMmersion, I really want to "live deliberately". I want to live with purpose, and live slowly. I feel as if this will make me a much better person, and I hope this will improve my life. I always thought that my life would stay stressful and rushed. But now I know that I can change that, and live happier.

We then went outside to the pond to take pictures, and we meditated for 3 minutes. The meditating was really fun; I focused on the birds chirping, the water moving, and the trees rustling. It was very relaxing.

Then, we did yoga. Before we did this, yoga seemed unnecessary and like a very "hippy" thing to do. But I learned that I didn't have to do exactly what the girl in the video did. I just relaxed and tried to be in the moment. I focused on my breathing and on how my body felt. It was very tranquil and peaceful. When we left the room, I felt more calm than I did when I entered the room. This taught me to live in the moment, and take the time to do so. Below are some pictures I took of my friends at the pond.
